Chapstick Review

Hello Lovelies,

Chap sticks are one of favourite products to carry around. I have quite the collection going. I go through chap sticks pretty quick, due to how dry my lips get.

Vaseline came out with a small collection. The Lip Therapy collection contains The Original, Rose Tint and Cocoa Butter. The Original is simple and easy and works the best when I have very dry lips. I use this one mostly in the hot summer months and the dry winter months. Rose tint is a lightly tinted chap stick so it’s great for days when I don’t want to wear lipstick as the hint of rose in it is light and girly. The Cocoa Butter chap stick smells amazing. I use the original and cocoa one at night to give my lips the full treatment. I paid $2.24 for the set of three.

Salted Caramel is a scent I have always enjoyed. Tokyo Milk Dark came out with a Salted Caramel lip balm and I seriously can’t get enough of it. This is a very heavy lip balm and it stays all night. I picked mine up at Sephora. If salted caramel isn’t to your taste, they also have a rose scented balm.

Next on the list is Carmex. I know I’m late on the bandwagon with this one, everyone seemed to use this one and I wanted to try it out. Since trying it out, I have gone through 3 tubs of it. It smells of vanilla and has a lovely feeling on the lips. This chapstick goes for $2.97.

The newest brand that I wanted to try out was Lanolips. I had heard some things about it and wanted to give it a shot. They unfortunately don’t sell this product in Canada, so I had to go overseas and get it from the UK. I have it in Banana, Rose, Rhubarb and the 101 Multipurpose balm. The banana, rose and Rhubarb are tinted and have SPF 30. They are one of the nicest chap sticks I have used to date. The 101 Multipurpose ointment is great for all over the skin, but I find it works best on the lips. It has the same consistency as Vaseline.

Lip oils were something I had heard about and was interested in trying it out. I didn’t want to go all out and buy an expensive one. I went and picked up Essence Prettifying Lip Oil. It has jojoba oil which doesn’t leave the lips all sticky and gross. I paid $2.99 so for that price, you pay for what you get.

Burts bees is newer brand that I just got into. I know they are in a higher price range, but everything I have tried out is amazing. I have both the honey  and the grapefruit lip balm. They are both really nice. I would repurchase both of these chap sticks again. Both balms are very thick and last all night as well.

Bath and Body works isn’t only good for lotions; they have a really nice line of Chap sticks as well. The CO Bigelow Rose Salve is a multipurpose balm, but has amazing effects on the lips. This balm has a very soft feeling on the lips.

I would recommend all of these Chap sticks to anyone who is looking to take care of their lips.

Up next is a summer repair solution.

Until next time darlings,

Emma
